SECTION PLAY COMPLETE EASTERN ELIMINATED The concluding games of the section play in the New Zealand women’s hockey tournament resulted in two further surprises—Eastern Southland being beaten by Canterbury B and Auckland A drawing with Taranaki. Both Eastern and Auckland A were eliminated. The winners of the section play are Wellington A, Canterbury A, Rangitikei, and Canterbury B, and the semi-final draw for to-morrow is:—Wellington v. Canterbury B, Rangitikei v. Canterbury A, the winners to play in the final on Saturday. Following are the results of to-day’s section play:— Section A.—Wellington A 7, Marlborough 1; Bush 2, Manawatu nil; Nelson 2. Wairarapa nil. Section B.—Wanganui 2, Wellington Maoris 1; Otago 4, Rotorua 1. Section C.—Canterbury B 1, Eastern Southland nil; Taranaki nil, Auckland nil.

Section D.—Auckland B 4, Wellington BAiil; Canterbury A 3, Ashburton nil.
