BOTTING NOT AVAILABLE MATCH AGAINST CANTERBURY I. J. Botting, who captained the Otago team on the first three matches of its northern tour and then returned to Dunedin, was to have rejoined the party for the mqtch against Canterbury to-morrow. The selectors were advised last night that Botting would be unable to make the trip, and he will be replaced by one of the other members of the touring side. Mr V. G. Cavanagh, jun., coach of the Otago team and a member of the Selection Committee, will leave for Christchurch to-day to be present at the match.
