SHEEP INDUSTRY

ROYAL COMMISSION INAUGURAL MEETING NEXT WEEK P.A. WELLINGTON, Sept. 4. The first meeting of the Royal Commission on the sheep industry will be held in Wellington on September 10, stated the chairman of the commission, Mr R. H. White, of Otane. This will be the inaugural meeting. In the morning the commission will meet the Minister of Agriculture, Mr Cullen and later in the day will receive submissions on procedure from the Federated Farmers, the Meat and Wool boards, the departments of Agriculture and Lands and the State Advances Corporation. The commission will then determine its procedure and adjourn till later in /the year, when a start can be made with the hearing of evidence. It is hoped to complete this sitting in one day.
