Mrs Keith Skinner ' and Miss Ngaire Skinner left yesterday to spend several weeks' holiday at Wanaka. Miss Helen Baeyertz, of Auckland, is visiting Dunedin. Mrs S. Jacobs, of - Christchurch, is the guest of Mrs H. Staton, of Coughtrey street, St. Clair. Mrs R. Elliott and Miss M. Elliott, of Claremont street, are visiting Paraparaumu, where they are the guests of Mrs Walter Saunders. Mrs Stewart D. Macpherson, Mrs D. M. Irvine, Mrs A. Sime and Mrs A. Boyd, of the Otago Ladies’ Golf Club, are visiting Wanaka for the Wanaka golf tournament. The officers of the Kaipara on Tuesday entertained friends and members of the staff of the New Zealand Shipping ..Company’s office at a cocktail party on the ship and later at a dance at the Brown House.

The annual meeting of the Gardening Circle of the Otago Women’s Club will be held on Tuesday afternoon, when a talk on the Centennial Flower Show will be given by Mrs E. W. Burrowes. There will be an exchange of plants.
