The Mayor, Mr Cameron, and the town clerk, Mr R. A. Johnston, left yesterday for Wellington on municipal business They will take part in a preliminary conference with the Commissioner of Works on the subject of town planning. Mr Charles T. Strother left Wellington by air on Monday for Japan. His visit is sponsored by the New Zealand Government, and is being made with the object of obtaining supplies for the furniture trade throughout New Zealand. The enthusiastic spirit of Cr R. E. S. Reeves and her services to the West Harbour Bv.'ough were commented on al the meeting of the West Harbour Borough Council last night. Cr Reeves will be disqualified from membership of the council when new regulations come into force on October 1. Passengers who left by air for the north yesterday were Mr I. D. Auld (Christchurch). Mr P. G. Connolly, M.P.. Mr W. A. Hudson, M.P., Mr D. C. Cameron, Father J. McKay. Mr S. D. Macpherson, Mr and Mrs J. S. Mclntosh, Mr C. W. Tripp, Mr C. Stubley (Wellington). Mrs A. G. Reid. Mr J.
