MS m f'. 5 r EX-NAVAL MEN 2,4, 6 YEAR ENGAGEMENTS Applications are ■ Invited from ratings discharged prior to Ist April, 1947 for re-entry as follows: Able-Seamen, Stokers and equivalent ratings of all branches for 2, 4 or 6 year engagements. Rates of pay: IS/- per diem, after 2 years 15/3, after 4 years 15/6 after 6 years 15/9. 2 and 4 YEAR ENGAGEMENTS Leading Signalmen, Leading Telegraphists, Leading Stokers, Leading Writers, Leading Stores Assistants. Leading Cooks, Leading Radio Mechanics, (W/T and R.). Leading Seamen who held higher non-substantive rates in the following: l-LS.D.— S.D. CONTROL QUARTERS R.C. R.P.— A.A., 2or 4 year engagements. Rates of pay: 16/9 per diem, after 2 years 17/-, after 4 years 17/3, after 6 years 17/6.. Petty Officers who held non-substantive rates as above, 2 or 4 year engagements. Rates of pay: 18/6 per diem, after 2 years 18/9. after 4 years 19/-, after 6 years 19/3. Artificers and Artisans. 2 or 4 year engagements: Artisans under new regulations now hold the status of Chief Petty Officer if Ist, 2nd or 3rd class, and Petty Officer if 4th or Acting 4th class. Rates of pay range from 16/9 per diem to 20/3 per diem for a Chief Petty Officer, with an addition of I/- per: diem Trade Pay. Engine Room Artificers may also qualify for an additional allowance of I/- or 2/- per diem. Married personnel will be eligible, under certain conditions, for a marriage allowance of 3/- per.diem plus a separation allowance of 3/- per diem. The rate of pay for Able Seamen or equivalent under 21 years of age is 14/- per diem. Long Service personnel will be entitled to superannuation benefits on discharge. All ratings will be paid a uniform allowance of I/I per diem. Personnel oh Short Setvice engagements will be eligible under certain conditions for gratuities on discharge amounting to £25 for each year’s service. Former Naval Service counts towards Good Conduct Badges, Good Conduct. Medal, Progressive Pay and advancement.
