HORSES TOO SLOW
CITY OF LONDON TRAFFIC N.Z.P.A. Special Correspondent LONDON. Aug. 19. Horse traffic will largely disappear from the streets of the City of London as a result of new restrictions announced by the Ministry of Transport banning all vehicles with a maximum speed of five miles an hour during peak traffic hours in the city Since the war a considerable increase in the number of horse-drawn vehicles has been noted in London, where some firms found bus and dray horses better able to negotiate traffic than motor vehicles. The restrictions do not apply to areas outside the city proper. '
