JUNIOR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

At the monthly meeting of the board of the Dunedin Junior Chamber of Commerce the president, Mr R. V. Foster, occupied the chair. - It was decided to lend full support to the “ Miss New Zealand ” quest and to sponsor a suitable candidate Mr J. C. Scoujar, chairman of the Projects Committee, was authorised to proceed with the necessary arrangements immediately. Mr Foster tabled a complete report on the country school children’s visit, recently sponsored by the chamber, and advised that the complete file- would go forward as Dunedin’s entry in the contest for the Stotter Trophy, which was awarded annually by the national convention to the chamber, which had carried out the best project during the year. The secretary advised that the executive had selected Messrs A. Landels, A. C. D. Hutton, and E. C. Morrison as delegates to the national convention to be held in Wanganui early in October.
