CONFERENCE AT BUFFALO \ PRINCIPAL HADDON WORLD VICE-PRESIDENT P.A. AUCKLAND, Aug. 18. One of the 12 Zealand delegates at the world conference of Churches of Christ at Buffalo. , United States, the Rev. E. P. C. Hollard. pastor of
Vivian Street Church of Christ, Wellington,' returned to Auckland on the Clipper Australia to-day. Mr Hollard said that 32 nations were represented at the conference, which expressed its opposition to militant political rule. A resolution of congratulation to India on achieving dominion status was passed by the conference, which also expressed its approvel of the amalgamation of the Methodist Episcopal and United Churches in Southern India. The next world conference will be held in Melbourne in 1950. Mr R. Ennes, of Melbourne, was appointed world president and Principal A. L. Haddon, of Dunedin, vice-president.
