FAIR TO CLOUDY AND COLD The following official' weather forecast covering the ensuing 24 hours was issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— * Situation.—A deep depression is centred 400 miles east of the North Island and an anti-cyclone covers the Western Tasman Sea. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Light to moderate south-west winds predominating; weather, fair or cloudy and cold. Further Outlook.—Fair to fine. Weather in Dunedin.—There was another springlike day in Dunedin yesterday. with 8 hours 54 minutes of bright sunshine. The maximum temperature -was 52.1 degrees, the minimum 36.1, and the minimum on the grass 24.5. There was a light wind from the north-west in the morning, and this changed to the west in the afternoon. The barometer remained steady, the midnight reading being 30.03 inches .(1017 millibars).-
