HAEREMAI CLUB
Two very enjoyable evenings were held recently in St. Paul’s Hall in connection with St. Paul's Haeremai Club. The first was a drama night at which the programme was presented by the Eveline Women’s Institute and the Oamaru Drama .Club, the plays being, "A Marriage Has Been Disarranged.” by Mesdames Mason, Green, Lawtrie, Collings, Mackiie, Fell, Beattie, and Maynard; and “ The Distent Drum,” by Mrs Elder, Miss Irene Brown, Messrs W. Carson, G. Drummond, and Sowdcn. Both plays were thoroughly enjoyed. Ihe club thanking those taking part for their assistance. The second evening was by the Oamaru Savage Club, and here again the audience greatly appreciated the following musical programme: Savage Club Orchestra; Messrs S. Armstrong and R. J. Hinkley (sortgs); Messrs G. Martin and A. Fraser (violin solos); Mr D. Swann (piano-accordion); Mr S. Muirhead (flute); and Messrs D. Swann and E. Chapman (instrumental duet). The accompaniments were played by Messrs J. Macmillan and H. Benson.
