Maori Home V- Alborn has Maori Home in fine conti °£nf or Metropolitan meeting and the Dillon Hall pacer should be a winner early in the new season. Working Well Forewarned has been working well for £ ; G- Holmes and should be at the peak , her for her engagements at the Metropolitan meeting. Improvement Expected Fillmore is reported to have furnished nicely during the winter and is expected to show improved form during the present season. A four-year-old by U. Scott from Betty Wrack, he won two of his 11 races last season. Probable Favourite The Josedale Grattan four-year-old Village Prince is engaged in the Turna Handicap at the Thames meeting and will probably be one of the shortest-priced favourites of the day. Golden Game The Gold Bar mare Golden Game can be expected to show Improvement in the present season. She showed speed m her races last season but on occasions stie did not move out of the barrier smoothly v Alborn has her in work at Addington In Fine Condition Sir Michael has been working impressively in his preparation for the Metropolitan meeting and he can be expected to race prominently in the next week or two. Gold Bar Worked Gold Bar went particularly 'well in a w° r *i! OU L Addington last week with Worthy Gold. Symetra. and Gold Nip. He will be started at the Metropolitan meeting. after which he is booked for a heavy stud season. Grattan Loyal Filly Pirouette was raced seven times last season for one win. which was scored at Greymouth in a very convincing manner. A four-year-old filly by Grattan Loyal from Lady Slipper, she is due to ntce in the Metropolitan Stakes on the second day of the Metropolitan meeting
