ANTI-BRITISH MOVE

AMERICAN MARITIME UNION Rec. 0.30 a.m. NEW YORK, Aug. 14. The National Maritime Union of tne CIO has recommended that its 90,000 members refuse to sail any ship carrying military supplies consigned to Britain or Palestine which would be used in the “dastardly pogroms being waged by the British against tne Jewish people of Palestine.” A letter to this effect was read to 250 pickets parading in front of the British Consulate offices yesterday as a protest against British action in Palestine. The pickets were organised by the American Jewish. Labour Council.
