SECURITY COUNCIL REQUESTED TO ACT
Rec. 9 p.m. NEW YORK, Aug., 13. Egypt urged the Security Council to-day to order British troops out of the Nile Valley within 18 days or face the prospect of riots and bloodshed. Sir Alexander Cadogan (Britain) said the only threat to Egypt’s peace came from the Egyptians themselves. He asked the council again to strike the Egyptian complaint from the agenda. The council adjourned without a vote.
