The Oamaru Harbour Board yesterday passed motions ol sympathy with the relatives in the death of Messrs Edward Lane and Norman Hayes, both former members and chairmen of the board. ■ A motion of sympathy with the relatives in the death of Mr E. Lane was passed at a meetirtg of the Oamaru Chamber of Commerce on Monday night. Archdeacon S. J. Cooper has forwarded his resignation as Vicar of St. Luke’s parish To the bishop of the diocese.
