RANFURLY SHIELD CHALLENGE MATCH AGAINST OTAGO Mr W. Berry, president, who was in the chair at the meeting of the Management Committee of the North Otago Rugby Union, commented that the Ranfurly Shield challenge against Southland could not now be played, but North Otago had a tentative challenge against Otago. The committee decided to lodge a challenge against Otago for the Ranfurly Shield, asking the Otago Union to suggest a' date. The secretary was instructed to notify the New Zealand Union It was agreed to suggest to the Otago Union that a Wednesday match would be acceptable. , „ There were also present at the meeting Messrs H.
