OIL COMPANY’S POLICY ‘ TRAINING OF YOUNG MEN p.A. WELLINGTON, Aug. 5. As part of its policy of fitting New Zealanders for executive positions in New Zealand, the British Petroleum Company of New Zealand and its associate company, the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company, is sending abroad its first selection of 12 young men for experience, after which they will come back to the Dominion and assume progressive appointments with the company The men, who are all ex-servicejnen with distinguished war records, will travel by tanker to Abadan, in Persia where they will undergo field experience, and from there will go to England, where tjiey will be given six months’ training in the commercial side. They will be away from New Zealand for about iO months. ‘ ~ “This is our answer to the export of New Zealand talent,” said a company official.
