NEW SEASON’S RATES NEGOTIATIONS WITH UNITED KINGDOM Parliamentary Reporter WELLINGTON, Aug. 5. Information whether the personnel of the Dairy products Marketing Commission had been decided upon was bought by Mr E. B. Corbett (Oppn., Eemont) in notice of a question to the Minister of Marketing, Mr Cullen, in the House of Representatives today. He asked whether, if this lad been done, the Minister would facilitate the departure of the chairman and such other representatives of the dairy industry as were deemed advisable 7 to negotiate the new seasons prices with the United Kingdom Government. “Is not marketing and price fixation the duty of the new organisation? ” asked Mr Corbett. In a note to his question, Mr Corbett said it had been reported that representatives of the New Zealand Dairy Board were leaving at an early date to represent New Zealand at a conference to review the prices of dairy produce for the 1947-48 season, which began on August 1.
