VARSITY BEATS TRAINING COLLEGE ALBANY STILL UNBEATEN The second round of the senior men’s hockey competition was advanced a stage further on Saturday, when the games were played under ideal conditions at Tonga Park and the Oval.. A keen Training College side set Varsity A a hard task at Tonga Park, but University crammed on the pace over the final stages and went ahead by two goals. Old Boys had a fairly easy win against Wesley to the tune of 8 goals to 3, and Technical Old Boys accounted for Varsity B with seven goals to spare. At the Oval, Albany A beat the Albany B team 4—l. The results of the games were as follows: University A 4, Training College 2. High School Old Boys 8, Wesley 3. Albany A 4, Albany B 1. Technical Old Boys 9, University B 2.
