MANAWATU’S HEAVY DEFEAT
PA. WANGANUI, Aug. 3. The Wanganui Rugby representatives beat Manawatu here on Saturday by 36 points to 6. The losers had the greater share of the ball, but Wanganui broke up the attacks close to the scrum and the winning l team’s backs were vastly superior. Manawatu scored two tries in the first half and Wanganui's points came from six tries, two penalty goals, onfield goal and four conversions
