STALIN’S AMBITIOUS PLANS Rec. 10 p.m. MOSCOW, Aug. 3. The Russians wanted a strong air force to safeguard their “ peaceful and creative work.” said the chief of the staff of the Russian Air Force, Colonel-general Studets. on the eve of Russia’s Aviation Day. General Studets said Mr Stalin has set the Russians a task of flying further than anyone, faster than anyone, and higher than anyone.”
