FURTHER ARRESTS

BURMESE ASSASSINATIONS FORMER PREMIER INCLUDED Rec. 7 p.m. RANGOON. Aug. 1. The Rangoon police have arrested Kyan Thaung, a Burma Government immigration officer, after they discovered arms and ammunition in his house. Thaung left Rangoon for Chit tagong the day after the Ministerial assassinations. The Rangoon police also arrested Dr Ba Maw, a former Premier of Burma. Bandool U Sein Bas, a former Minister of Information, is reported to have been arrested with him. Ba Maw i.s the leader of the Greater Burma Party. He was - head of the war-time Japanese-sponsored Burmese Government. He was reported missing from his home on July 21.
