RAILWAY MISHAP

TROOP TRAIN DERAILED NO INJURIES REPORTED P.A. WANGANUI, June. 4. Six cars attached to a special troop train running from Papakura to Wellington were derailed near Himtahi. a small station lo miles north ot Taihape, early this morning Five of them came to rest at a precarious angle on the edge of an embankment above the main highway, and the sixth was only partly derailed. The locomotive and the first three cars, as well as the guard’s van, remained on the track, but as a result of the derailment the Main Trunk line will be completely blocked till early to-morrow. In - the. meantime, express trains between Wellington and Auckland have been diverted to the alternative route through Aramoho and Stratford, linking up with the Main Trunk at Okahukura. Nope of the 470 troops on the derailed train was injured.
