“OPERATION DRIPPING”

PLANE HELD UP IN ARABIA LONDON. June 2. The aeroplane “Port of Sydney,’’ which is en route to Britain from Sydney with seven tons of dripping, representing a week’s rations for 100,000 Britons, has been delayed in Arabia “pending King Ibn Saud’s pleasure.” A cable to the plane’s owners in London, Aero and Motor Services, from the managing director, Dr Graham Humby, who is on board the plane stated that it landed at Bahrein airfield Arabia, short of fuel.
