TRAVEL CLUB

There was a large attendance at the meeting of the Dunedin Travel Club, held in the Tudor Hall last Wednesday evening, when a V talkie ’’ film programme, arranged by Mr S. J. Lavelle, was presented. Included in the educational films were views of Central Africa depicting the life of the people and also of American coast scenery and of modern cities of Canada. Before supper* was served, the vocal solos “ Greensleeves ” and " Swing Low, Sweet Chariot," were sung by Mr Colin Sparrow, accompanied by Miss Gwenda Burt, and later elocutionary items. " Then and Now ” and “ The Artist,” were given by Misses Betty Dillon and Frances Robson. Mr Ivan A. Mitchell conveyed thanks to Mr Lavelle and Mr Cdrrie and the performers.
