INFLATION RUN RIOT
BARRIER TO ITALIAN UNITY ROME, May 26. “ Italy does not need a broadened Government, but one which will tackle the rampant black market,” said the Socialist leader, Signor Nenni. He added: “The reason why no one will take the responsibility of heading a new Government is that an egg costs 32 lire.” Beans and rice were again substituted for spaghetti in the monthly food allotments made to : day in Rome.
