THREE ONE-ACT PLAYS

REPERTORY SOCIETY PRESENTATION

Three one-act plays and four humorous sketches were presented by the senior drama class of the Dunedin Repertory Society in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall last night before a good attendance. The presentations were well received. The programme was introduced by a comedy, “Her Affairs in Order,” plaved by six characters. Margaret Upton took the part of Abbie, and her associates were Rowena Lindon (Beth), Billie Loan (Linda), Mrs Ina Paterson (Miss Brandt), Mollie Davidson (Bailey), and Gwenyth Froude (Judith). „ , " Three Mrs Madder leys was also a one-net comedy. The players were Adair Thompson (Mary), Mrs Winnie Dusdale (Margot). Mrs Helen Cowie (Marian', and Mrs Hazel Humphreys (a maid). A one-act drama, “ In the Darkness,” followed. It was presented by Sybil Henderson as Lizzie. Noeline Henderson ("Boss"). David Hobbs (Arth), and George Ritchie (Nathan). The entertainment concluded with humorous sketches by Betty Dillon, Francis Robson, Sylvia Lawrence, and Margaret Ufton. Mr Murray Pinfold acted as stage manager for the performance, which will be repeated to-night.
