CLEVER FOOTBALL

MOSGIEL BEATS OLD BOYS

EXTENDS NORTHEN A

Weather conditions were ideal for the continuation of the Otago Football Association's competitions on Saturday. High School Old Bovs, after a brilliant firsthalf display of combined football, missed many chances and Mosgiel had the better of the exchanges in the second half, and won by three clear goals. Northern A on the run of play were fortunate to gain full points, as the Southern front line was often dangerous and the Northern goal had near misses. Roslyn-Wakari gave a sound display, and the result—--4 goals to 2 in Green Island’s favour — flattered the latter team. Results:— Mosgiel J. MS Old Boys nil. Northern A 2, Southern 1. Mornington 3. Caversham 2. Green Island 4, Roslyn-Wakari 2. Varsity 7, Northern B 1. Technical OB 6, Maori Hill I.
