NAZIS DEPORTED
ACTION BY ARGENTINA IMPROVING RELATIONS WITH UNITED STATES BUENOS AIRES, Rec. 7 p.m. May 24. Argentina has deported a further eight Nazi agents, including Hans Hernisch, key secret agent of the German military intelligence organisation known as Abwehr. The Foreign Minister, Senor Juan Bramuglia, declared that Aregntina thus claimd to have complied with the Chapultepec Agreement. The deporteees are bound directly for Antwerp, where they will be handed to the occupation authorities in Germany. Argentina, altogether, has expelled 60 Nazis. Of the other Nazis listed for deportation, 43 are fugitives. They include Johannes Meeker, who was Nazi chief for all South America. Harnisch’s job was to recruit secret agents and forward them to the United St The New York Herald-Tribune says the presence of these agents has long been a disturbing factor in AmericanArgentina relations and their expulsion may result in United States readiness to take a seat with Argentina and other Latin American countries in the frequently postponed Rio de Janeiro conference, which is designed to negotiate a mutual defence treaty .
