RETIRED WATERSIDE WORKER

William Gilbert, a retired waterside worker, aged 63, was found dead at his home yesterday morning. The deceased lived alone at 480 George street, and neighbours who noticed that the door was open found him fully dressed, sitting in a chair. He had been dead for some time. An inquest was opened yesterday afternoon before Mr J. D. Willis, S.M., sitting as coroner, and after evidence of identification had been given, the inquiry was adjourned sine die.
