CAMP COMMANDER RESIGNS
SYMPATHY WITH IMMIGRANTS Rec. 7 p.m. NICOSIA, Apl. 20. Colonel W. H. Widdicombe, commanding officer of the Caraolos camp, where Jewish illegal immigrants have been on hunger-strike since April 18, said he had requested immediate transfer to another post. He felt great sympathy for the internees, many of whom at the present quota rate for admission to Palestine faced 20 months’ internment.
