PRINCESS ATTAINS MAJORITY V SHOAL OF CONGRATULATIONS Rec. 0.30 a.m. LONDON, Apl. 21. Princess Elizabeth had breakfast with her parents and sister before she opened their birthday presents and began reading the piles of cables, letters and telegrams from every part of the world, says Reuter’s correspondent covering the royal tour. The Capetown carillon this morning played “ Twentyone To-day ” and " Happy Returns” for more than 30 minutes. The Vanguard, waiting in the harbour to take the Royal Family home, was dressed overall. ■ Flags were flown in many buildings in: London. ' St. Paul’s bells pealed this morning in honour of . the Princess. Neither the Admiralty, the War Office, nor the Air Ministry held ceremonies because the Princess is not in England. His Majesty ordered a fortnight’s court mourning in England for King Christian’s death, but the concluding arrangements for the South African tour are not affected.

GOOD WISHES FROM AUSTRALIA Rec. 11 p.m. SYDNEY, Apl. 21. A large photograph of Princess Elizabeth was displayed at the entrance of the Town Hall to-day. Most city buildings and many of the ships in port are beflagged. Messages of congratulation were sent to the Princess by the Government, heads of churches, and patriotic organisations. Most schools were given talks about the Princess this morning.
