WOMEN’S HOCKEY
ASSOCIATION MEETING A meeting of the North Otago Women's Hockey Association was attended by Mr P. Connors, chairman, and Mesdames Sheath, E. Pearce, A. Park, Misses K. Wills, Matheson, Messrs G. Thorpe and E. Pearce. The following committees were appointed—Draw: • Mrs Sheath, Messrs E. Pearce and G. Thorpe: postponement —Messrs P. Connors, G. Thorpe, Miss M. Clare; protest—Mr G. Thorpe, Mesdames E. Pearce and Park; emergency—Messrs P. Connors. G. Thorpe and Miss M. Clare Ten entries were received for the competition from Duntroon, Kurow (2), Pirata (3). Waimate (2), Windsor and Ngapara Clubs. It was decided that the first round would be the championship round, and that the second would be a handicap round for the Thorpe Cup. It was also agreed that teams should play according to the draw, or else default their games. Draw Arranged The following draw was arranged for the first three Saturdays of the competition:—April 26: Pirata I v. Pirata 111, at Oamaru (1.30 p.m.); Pirata II v. Duntroon, at Oamaru (3 p.m.): Windsor v. Ngapara, at Ngapara (2.30 p.m.); Kurow II v. Waimate 11. at Waimate (3 p.m.); Kurow I v. Waimate I, at Kurow (3 p.m.). —May 3: Pirata II v. Pirata I, at Oamaru; Windsor v. Pirata 111, at Windsor; Kurow II v. Duntroon, at Duntroon; Kurow I v. Ngapara, at Kurow; Waimate I v. Waimate 11, at Waimate. —May 10: Windsor v. Pirata 11, at Windsor; Kurow II v. Pirata I, at Kurow; Kurow I v. Pirata 111, at Oamaru; Waimate I v. Duntroon, at Waimate; Waimate II v. Ngapara, at.Ngapara.
