OUTLOOK FAIR The following official weather forecast covering the ensuing 24 hours was issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Situation.—An anti-cyclone Is moving on to New Zealand. ' Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Light to moderate variable winds; weather fine inland, some cloud near the coast. Temperatures cold. Further Outlook.—Fair. Weather in Dunedin.—There was an improvement in the weather in Dunedin yesterday when there were three hours of 5 bright sunshine. The rainfall for the 24-hour period ended at 9.30 p.m. was 0.23 in- The ■ maximum temperature was 50.9 deg, the minimum 38.6, and the minimum on the grass 33.2. There was a light | northerly wind in the morning, and this changed to the south in the afternoon. The barometer rose in the afternoon, the midnight reading being 30.42 in (1030 millibars).
