ADVERTISING DOMINION

VALUABLE DISPLAY POINTS SECURED Special Correspondent Rec. 9 p.m. LONDON, Mar. 20. The presentation of 100 attractive coloured photographs of New Zealand scenery was made officially to-day by the High Commissioner. Mr W. J. Jordan, to Lord Knollys, chairman of the British Overseas Airways Corporation. They are to be hung in the company’s offices and passenger rooms all over the world. The idea was suggested to

Lord Knollys during his visit to the Dominion last year by Mr L. J. Schmitt, general manager of the Department of Tourist and Health Resorts. The photographs were sent to London, where Mr A. N. Reid, the department’s London representative, had them framed. Each is headed with the Dominion’s coat of arms in colour and the name “New Zealand.” . Making, the presentation. Mr Jordan expressed the Government’s pleasure at the company’s acceptance of the gift and its willingness to display the photographs. Lord Knollys, expressing appreciation,•• said they would be distributed over 8.0.A.C.’s far-flung routes, where they would encourage people travelling to places to which they had to go to places they really ought to see. He added that he had the happiest memories of his stay in New Zealand.
