SUCCESSFUL SALVAGE

CITY OF LINCOLN REFLOATED Rec. 7 p.m. CAPETOWN, Mar, 10. The British steamer City of Lincoln, which stranded on the rocks at Quoin Point, near the Gape of Good Hope, on November 8, was refloated to-day.

A cable message received on November 9 stated that 91 members of the crew and 1 passenger abandoned the British steamer City of Lincoln after the vessel struck a rock off Quoin Point, near the Cape of Good Hope, on the night of November 8. They were picked up by tugs which made a 120-mile dash to the rescue from Capetown. The ship was last seen listing to starboard, and was expected, with a cargo from America, to become a total loss.
