Pickard made 34 in good style before he was dismissed lbw by Cunningham but most of the best bats were out 8 cheaply. W. A. Payne knocked up 23 and Gilchrist showed himself to be a useful all-rounder by attacking tne bowling to score a Sound 26. L Curmingham and W. F.
