HORSES REEFTON Special to Daily Times CHRISTCHURCH. Mar. 13. About a dozen ■ Riccarton horses will. race at the Reefton meeting over the week-end. They include Nightchlld, All Quality, Prince Dolomite, Copper Coin, Lyndon Lea, Mercia's Mystery, Miss Mercury, Pedantic, Strathconan, Scene Palaboa, Rout, and Legal Rose. Strathconan, who will have his first race in the Novice Stakes at Reefton. is a two-year-old by Nightmarch—Strathalbyn. by Balboa from imported Sppan Bridge He is trained by 'Register and Hanrahan. and he has shown smart form in his track work, so he may be an early winner-. - ' R. Wilson has made a start with Mr r. J. Murphy’s two-year-old filly, Victorious, by Nightmarch—Hinerawe, by Robespiere—Oratrix. R P. Register and F. Hanrahan have a nair of two-year-old fillies as new memh*.rs of their team. One, owned by Mr D Grant, is by Stourbridge from .an unraced sister to Density; Botany and Denary, by Pink Coat—Denise. The other who will be raced by Messrs W A Wilson and ft. ,B. Higgs, who axe new to ownership, is Lilli Marlene, by Nightly from Pandosto’s dam, Topsy Wood, a Southland-bred mare by Woodend.
