BUTCHERS EXPRESS CONCERN

P.A. GISBORNE, Mar 13. The Dominion Master Butchers’ conference to-day passed the following resolution:— “This conference of master butchers views with concern the development and growth of State-protected consumer co-operatives, and that whilst we agree with the principle of true consumer co-operatives we are absolutely opposed to any system which eliminates competition. It means in most cases that a temporary monopoly is given power to secure its position for all time.”
