CRUISER BELLONA
EXERCISES WITH AUSTRALIAN , NAVY P.A. WELLINGTON, Feb. 28. The Minister of Defence, Mr Jones, announced to-day that H.M.N.Z.S. Bellona, under the command of Captain M. B. Laing, C.8.E., R.N., will leave Auckland for Sydney on March 3, arriving there on March 7. Between this date and April 2 she will take part in combined exercises with the Australian Navy, alternating between Sydney and Jervis Bay, as required, for these exercises.
She will visit Melbourne from April 4 to 8, and Hobart from April 10 to 14, when she will return to New Zealand, arriving at Milford Sound on April 17. Before returning to Auckland on April 30, she will visit Lyttelton from April 19 to 23 and Wellington from April 24 to 28.
