— 1 W* ' COLD FRONT APPROACHING Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:—, Situation.—An anti-cyclone covers New Zealand; a cold front is advancing across the South Tasman Sea. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—lVJotle-rate northerly to north-westerly winds; weather fair and mild. Further Outlook.—A south-westerly change, with showers to-night. Weather in Dunedin.—Only 6min of sunshine was recorded in Dunedin yesterday, but temperatures were mild. The maximum thermometer reading was 66.7 degrees and the minimum 54.4 degrees. Misty rain which fell during the morning and early afternoon developed into steady, heavy rain later, but the fall ceased during the evening, when a total of 0.17 in had been recorded. There was a light south-westerly breeze during the day. Barometric pressure was steady at 30.15 in (1021 millibars) up to midnight.
