ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES

DROWNED IN RIVER (P.A.) WAIROA, Jan. 8. Donald Mitchell, aged four, the son of Mr and Mrs F. A. Mitchell, was drowned in the Wairoa River yesterday. The boy was playing with a number of other children, when he wandered off and was not missed until his body was found in two feet of water. An inquest was held later and a verdict of accidental drowning was returned.
