ITINERARY ANNOUNCED

FULL ROUND OF ENGAGEMENTS (Special Correspondent) (Rec. 10.30 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 8. The complete itinerary of the Royal tour of South Africa is now announced The King and Queen and the princesses will disembark at Capetown on February 17 add will sail from Capetown on April 24. On arrival they will be met by the Prime Minister and members of the Cabinet. After receptions at Government House there will be a State dinner. [ Among the many interesting items of the tour will be the opening of Parliament on February 21, a visit to the Orange Free State game reserve on March 8, a Zulu war dance at Eshowe on March 19, ceremonies at the Cenotaph, and the opening of memorial gates at Durban on March 20. On April 21, Princess Elizabeth’s twenty-first birthday, she will review and take the salute at a march past of troops, ex-servicemen and women in Capetown. She will also attend a rally of youth organisations, and there will be a fireworks display arranged by the Union Government. In the evening a ball for young people will be held at Government House. On April 22 there will be conferred on the Queen the degree of doctor of laws, honoris causa. Before sailing on April 24, there will be a State luncheon. The tour will take in Basutoland, Natal, Swaziland, Johannesburg, Southern Rhodesia, Rhodesia and Bechuanaland.
