REPLIES TO RECOMMENDATION FEW NATIONS AFFECTED (Rec. 10.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, Jan. 8. The United Nations announced that 29 Governments had filed formal replies to the General Assembly recommendation that all 55 members break off diplomatic relations with Spain. El Salvador reserved its position. Twenty-four governments reported that they had no diplomatic relations with Madrid, and the remaining four made no report on action taken or proposed.
