USE OF MAORI LABOUR

CONFERENCE ON PROPOSAL (P.A.) HASTINGS, Jan. 8. The Prime Minister, Mr Fraser, has accepted an invitation to be present at a Maori Labour conference at Opoutama on January 14, at which the use of Maori labour on the wharves will be discussed. A telegram to that effect has been received by Mr R. Tutaki, of Hastings, from Mr Fraser. The Prime Minister added that he proposed to fly to Gisborne on the date mentioned.
