CITY POLICE COURT

In the City Police Court yesterday, before Mr H. W. Bundle, S.M., Malcolm Arthur Rosie, aged 20, a labourer, was charged with stealing an overcoat valued at £9. the property of Leonard William Cadzow, and with breaking and entering the counting house of the Kiln-Dried Timber and Joinery Company, in Neville street and stealing postage stamps valued at £4 10s. Chief Detective T. Y. Hall asked for a remand until Monday, stating that the accused had been arrested on the previous day. There would be two charges of housebreaking to be preferred against the accused as well as the charges already mentioned. The accused was remanded until Monday, and his application for bail was refused, the chief detective stating that the accused was at present on licence from the Borstal.
