BANDSMAN INJURED
Abrasions to the body and head were suffered by John Muir, aged 20, of Galloway, when he was struck by a motor car at Alexandra at 1.20 a.m. on New Year’s Day. Muir was marching with the Alexandra Pipe Band, when he was knocked down by a motor car, the driver of which did not stop. The police are making inquiries concerning the identity of the driver.
