WAITAKI BEATS KING’S HIGH SCHOOL CRICKET The annual match between the Waltakl Boys' and the King’s High Schools was won by Waltaki by nine wickets. In the second day's play Waltakl, in reply to. King’s first inning’s score of 116, carried their total of 161 for eight wickets to 172 McDlarmid, the not-out batsman, added three to his score to be undefeated at 35, and Slgley added 5 runs, but smart fielding saw the last two batsmen run out quickly. , . King’s made 111 runs in their second Innings, Jones being top scorer with 38 runs. Sigley bowled well to take three wickets for 10 runs. Requiring 56 runs to win.
