PRICES EASIER (Special.’) OAMARU, Oct. 22. Prices in all sections showed a slight ,drop on recent markets at the Waiareka sale to-day. There was a large yarding of cattle and a medium yarding of fat and store sheep. Fat Cattle.—Prime steers made from £25 to £27, medium £2l to £24 ss, light £l7 10s to £2O 10s; prime heifers £l7 15s to £l9, medium to £l3 10s, light £3 15s to £ll 15s; prime cows to £lB. others £6 to £6 10s; dairy cows £8 12s and £lO. Fat Sheep.—Prime wethers sold from 43s 9d to 475, medium 35s to 37s 6d, light 30s to 34s 9d; prime ewes to 29s 6d, medium 23s to 26s 6d, light 16s 6d to 20s. two-tooth maiden ewes to 26s 6d. Store Sheep.—Ewe hoggets: Prime made from 40s 3d to 445. others to 345; wether hoggets to 325.
