NOTED AUTHORITY'S VISIT (P.A.) AUCKLAND. Oct. 21. A noted authority on world education, Dr Josephine Macalister Brew, arrived in Auckland from Sydney by flying boat to-day. She is returning to Britain from the conference of the International New Education Fellowship held in Perth. She will spend several weeks in New Zealand lecturing in the four main centres. A specialist in adolescent psychology and juvenile delinquincy Dr Brew is education secretary to the British Association of Girls' and Mixed Clubs and is the author of several books on youth and education. She has had experience of youth work in many parts of the world, including Russia. Germany and Japan. While in New Zealand she will direct a special course in leadership training for leaders of youth groups and will advise the Victoria University College on the possibility of establishing a school of sociologv in Wellington. Dr Brew said her addresses to New Zealand audiences would be on informed education ” and youth services. She was interested in youth organisations of all kinds and expected to give four or five lectures in each centre
